Welcome

On behalf of the Union County/Monroe N.C. Friends of NRA Committee, I welcome you to our new website.  We are pleased that you stopped by, and hope that we will soon be able to meet you in person at out 11th Annual Friends of NRA Banquet. 

The Friends of NRA Program is a fundraising event which encourages community involvement and gives 100% of the money raised to various shooting related programs.  The NRA Foundation (Friends of NRA) was established in 1990 as a 501( c )( 3 ) tax-exempt organization.  The funds raised at our event go to many worthwhile projects such as youth education programs, scholarships, firearm training and safety, range development and conservation efforts which cannot fund themselves.  One half of the funds raised at our event will stay in the state of North Carolina, while the other half will be distributed across the United States.  These grants are dependent upon the need and propose of the programs across the state and the nation.    

Our upcoming event will be held on August 28th, 2010, at the Union County Agricultural Center, 3230 Presson Road, Monroe N.C.  The doors open at 5:00pm and the program begins at 6:00pm, with dinner being served at 7:00pm.  The agenda for the night includes live & silent auctions, raffles and drawings of selected artwork, merchandise and firearms. 

The doorprize for our 11th Annual Friends of NRA Banquet is a Benelli Super Black Eagle ll. In addition to a great door prize, we are having a “Winner Take All” Gun Safe Raffle which includes four firearms.  Please check out our "Winner Take All" Raffle on the Events Page for more information.
